· What makes your level shine among the rough.
· Creating a feature list to help keep the scope of your projectr at the forefront.
· This is something you always look back to in your LDD.
2. Visuals
· These are aspcets of art, VFX and lighting that are unique to the level.
- Art / Color
- Visual FX
- Lighting
3. Technical
· Things the player can do with your level creating a unique way to play the game.
· Level Builder.
· Place assets themselves.
4. Gameplay
· These are mechanics we looked back in section one.
· The main 3 are:
- Physical
- Mental
- Control
5. Story
· The real pull of any game is the story.
· Creating a unique story is a hand task. Have a good environment with a good story is crucial.
· Creating and building on all 3 Acts.
6. World
· The world space the level will be created in. This is the setting, location and theme we just discussed.
· All 3 of these will make the level throughly unique in their own ways.
· Keep it simple.
